Please read the information below regarding your newborn session.
If your baby is already born and your session date is confirmed with us, please fill out the
submission form to confirm the details of your session and make your payment.
If you are contacting us prior to your baby being born, please fill out the form with your due date as the “Date of Session” for now.
Once the baby is born, please contact us and we will get your date & time scheduled!
Please see the Payment section regarding necessary payment information.
”How old should our baby be for newborn photos?”
We recommend newborn sessions be within 5-15 days of birth if you want those super sleepy photos - but its not necessary! If you’re beyond that time, it’s okay! We can still capture great photos of your beautiful baby - they may have eyes open and more expressions by a few weeks old as well!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
Sessions last about 1 ½ - 2 hours.
Our studio is kept warm for baby’s comfort. Please dress appropriately for a warmer setting. We do have multiple rooms in the studio, including the Lounge which is kept a little cooler for parent’s comfort. The Lounge also has a TV and comfy couch, make yourself at home!
We have coffee, tea, water and snacks but please feel free to bring anything with you as well.
We will wrap and pose your baby throughout the session. Please feel free to be a part of this process, or sit back and relax in the Lounge. Think of us as your babysitter for 2 hours!
We do simple & natural wraps & poses for the baby. This gives a beautiful focus on the baby’s features and natural beauty.
Most photos are done with the diaper still on, with wraps covering it. If naked photos are requested, we can do those as well.
We have an area for changing along with extra diapers & wipes. We also have a full bathroom.
We suggest not bringing additional family members unless they are to be included in the photos. If family or sibling photos are requested, please let us know beforehand. These will be done near the end of the session to ensure we get baby’s photos first.
We have lots of florals, hats, headbands, blankets & props so you don’t need to bring any of those with you. You are more than welcome to choose from the collection in our studio. If you have something specific you would like included please mention it beforehand. If we do not have it in our collection, feel free to bring it along!
We take breaks whenever your baby needs them! Diaper changes, feeding breaks, not sleeping soundly - these are all very normal things during a photo session. We take our time and go through the session very calmly and smoothly. Please be patient as each pose takes a little bit depending on the individual baby’s needs.
You know your baby best! Let us know if there is anything specific he/she likes/dislikes such as feeding schedules, timing of day, swaddling, etc.
NEWBORN SESSION PREP:
Please try to keep the baby awake for a few hours before the session. Give them a bath, let them kick with just a diaper on, tickle their toes, etc. This will make for a sleepy baby once fed and hopefully we can get those really great posed images. If the baby wakes or stays awake throughout the session, no worries - we will capture that as well!
Please feed your newborn 2-3 hours before the session and then again just before the session. Once you arrive to the studio or we arrive to your home, if they are still hungry, you can feed them again and hopefully get the baby to fall asleep. If the baby is content and sleeping at the start of the session we will take them right to the beanbag to start the session.
Try to dress them in as little as possible (keeping diaper on) on your way to the studio or prior to us arriving to you. This avoids waking him/her if they fall asleep just before the session.
If you requested naked photos
We will do these photos first on the beanbag.
Please try to keep their diaper a little loose on the way to the studio or prior to us arriving to you to avoid diaper lines.
Please pick from the list below for general color themes for the session.
If the session is going to be in your home, please be specific and communicate colors, ideas and sample photos - we will bring props & wraps accordingly. We will also bring the necessary photo gear including the bean bag, pillows, lights, stands, etc. We can do Lifestyle photos of parents & siblings with your new baby in your home & nursery during the session as well.
WHAT TO BRING:
Normal Diaper Bag with Diapers, Wipes, Bottles.
Pacifier: one of the green/blue bendable ones is preferred to not leave marks on the baby’s face.
Additional props/outfits (if any).
Something to occupy brothers & sisters while they are waiting for their turn.
Outfit for siblings photos (if requested).
If family photos are requested, we suggest solid/neutral colored tops or skin to skin contact.

PAYMENT
We require full payment when booking your session.
If you are booking with us prior to your baby being born, we will put your Due Date in our calendar - then once the baby is born, please reach out and we can schedule your session date & time.
Payments are non-refundable. If you need to switch your date, contact Scarinzi Media asap to reschedule. Your payment will go toward the new date.
In-Studio Newborn Sessions: $300
On-Location Newborn Sessions: $400: include 30 miles of travel, additional mileage is $1/mile
